Eh macam mana ni aku taip Inglish /Malay ni.. Ahh Baca jer lah.....baru Rm teringat kat iklan.yang INGLISH! tu....Yes we must speak English well tapi iklan itu not Educating but Frightening!!. So let me continue in English.              Sorry if my English is not so well written. Please continue reading**************

*****   I was overwhelmed when my recording label at that time arranged for me to duet my hit song 'Istana Menanti  with an Indonesian female new singer, at that time preparing for her 2nd Album. So I thought, WOW!... In INDONESIA? With an Indonesian Artist?

I was given that great opportunity to make my NAME in Indonesia, consider LAH oversea.
Can't wait for the it to happen. By the way, I managed to get a leather jacket. BUT I will leave that in pending as that is another story I will soon blogged about ( in English )

So came the day, I departed to Jakarta. I was very excited, imagining all the wonderful things that will
change my singing career. Why NOT? There were so many Indonesian singers that managed to make
themselves well known in Malaysia. Likewise it could be the same with our Malaysian artists. We
are as equally good as them.

When I arrived to the airport, for the first time. I felt appreciated and special at that very moment and also there were a  few people from the recording company, drivers, some escorts and a personal assistance for myself, if I do require anything. How amazing is that? Am I leaving in the life of a fab lane already? What an entourage. Basically, being in Indonesia, they were very kind, very respectful and polite just like the maids in our country.

And so I checked in to the the hotel, not too bad. Everything was nice in their own way. A room  for myself. I was peacefully rested and I enjoyed my stay there.

Jakarta is a very busy state in Indonesia. Arrangements were made so fast that I cannot imagine how fast they work. It was like all together working hard to make a train move to a destination on time. There were Press Conferences, Photography Sessions and TV Interviews. I had grand dinner to attend and I met so many Indonesian Artists who were dashingly amazing.

Of course I was the Highlighted Guest of that evening. I wish I could remember all their names to say my many thanks to them.

The recording was set in Bandung. What a journey to travel there. I enjoyed the scenery, the weather and the company of my entourage. My experiences with the Indonesian people I must say they were wonderful people, if you want to know them better.

I met her for the first time. She was so young, she still have that 60's retro hairstyle or maybe a teen idol kind of look. You know, like those bubble gum pop princess kind of thing, only rock. Her wide personality reflects her as a very demure young lady as an upcoming female artist.

Her name is Connie Dio. I like her the first time, I saw her and I knew we could make the song sound amazing. Her tone was like "sing song", maybe its the natural way of how they speak. That answered my question?

Why do the Indonesian singers are so much better than our local singers?

Still I never forget that time, recording a duet song together with her and everyone involved in the studio was fun. They bought me food and fruits that I never tasted before. As if I was like a tourist, but it was a great experience. I guess it was their friendliness that made me feel so welcome.

After that was my favorite part, shooting the video clip, performing at the Bandung TV station and modeling for their local magazines. They were all arranged so fast. I just follow what were planned for me. I got it covered, I was keeping up track with all of them. Though I thought that was pre arranged by my Recording label. Nevertheless, I managed and fulfilled all the TASKS and everyone was happy -  Except Me.

Here I go again. It is great to know that I have a breakthrough in Indonesia. I am happy for that but
the song, my song, my composer song, my hit song 'ISTANA MENATI ' was changed to their
choice and they called it 'LANGKAH PASTI'.

Even the composer name have to be shared by an Indonesian person.  WAS THAT THEIR POLICY?. I respected them for  having their mind set and able to reinforced.  I was not pre warned by my recording label which pisses me off. I felt the sick to my stomach, I felt the tumbles and I definitely do not and most likely feel good about it anymore.

Coming back to Kuala Lumpur and feeling happy again that I managed a breakthrough in
Indonesia though it wasn't that perfect in the an. My expectation was of course another one of my "here I go again and again".

My recording label did NOT BOTHER to promote that song, not even have the video clip shown, not even have it on air on our local radio. How can I not be ballistically mad about it?

I expect at least some interview with some press, even if it is a tiny press that will easily be organized by the recording label. They just wasted my time like playing with my career and they thought they have done their duties.     What duties?

Today, I wonder how many of our  local singers are able to have a breakthrough in Indonesia? Yes, we welcome all Indonesian groups and singers easily to our country. Our radio stations and TV stations gave them hell lot of of publicity.  Most of them are so well know in our country because we allow it or maybe there are too many Indonesian staying here? I am not denying that they are good.  I realized that  the Indonesian respect their Indonesian products.

As for us Malaysian, we are far from them. They are beyond ahead of us. Do we even realize?

We should learn to RESPECT our own. We should adopt the ideal 'MADE IN
MALAYSIA' and believe in that policy.

We should support our own people in any way of life. I am not a Politician but we as a Malaysian should
stand as one.

TO THOSE who have NOT heard the song, LANGKAH PASTI.

HERE IT IS.
